Act for Peace – Campaign Overview

From January to March 2025, the ABC for Peace initiative invites the world to unite under the theme "A - Act for Peace", inspired by the global values of the Peace Circle. Embracing the principles of hope, love, and justice, this campaign encourages meaningful actions, cultural expressions, and symbolic tree plantings that foster renewal and connection across communities. The campaign culminates on 21 March 2025 with a global moment of reflection and action: A Minute for Hope.

How to Join the Campaign

1. Register for the Campaign:

2. Plant a Tree or Trees for Hope, Love, and Justice:

Dedicate your planting to one or more of the campaign’s core values, symbolizing commitment to peace and renewal.

3. Register Your Trees with TreebuddyEarth:

Track your trees’ growth and impact by registering them on the TreebuddyEarth web app: https://www.pacfpeace.net/register-your-trees

4. Add a Cultural Touch:

Celebrate your planting with a song, poem, or artwork that reflects your community’s traditions and values.

5. Share Your Voice:

Post your planting story, photos, or videos on social media using #MinuteForHope, your local hashtag, and #ABCForPeace to inspire others to join.

Campaign Highlights

Planting Trees of Hope

From January to March, symbolic trees for hope, love, and justice are planted around the world. These trees draw inspiration from the Peace Circle, where similar trees symbolize these core values. While we are not creating full Peace Circle parks during this campaign, each tree represents the power of community and the potential for growth and renewal.

Cultural Expressions

Participants are encouraged to express the campaign’s values through creative activities such as poetry, songs, storytelling, and art. These cultural expressions inspire dialogue, connection, and shared purpose across diverse communities.

A Minute for Hope – 21 March 2025

At 12:00, noon local time, individuals, families, workplaces, and communities are invited to join a global moment of hope. This event is open to everyone—no registration required. During this minute, participants can take an action, perform a symbolic act, or share their reflections. Together, these small actions form a worldwide ripple of positivity and change.
