Planting Hope, Love, and Justice: The First Campaign of ABC for Peace 2025

From January to March 2025, the ABC for Peace initiative, under the theme "A - Act for Peace", will focus on spreading the universal values of hope, love, and justice. These three values are symbolized by the trees of the Peace Circle, representing hope, love, and justice. While we are not planting entire Peace Circles during this campaign, we are planting individual trees around the world in the spirit of these values. The campaign culminates on 21 March 2025, with a global moment of reflection and action: A Minute for Hope, emphasizing that hope grows through action.

Campaign Timeline

January – March: Planting the Seeds of Peace

• Tree Planting Worldwide: Dedicated trees for hope, love, and justice are planted in communities worldwide. These trees symbolize the power of collective action and the importance of nurturing peace and renewal.

• Cultural Expressions: Communities are encouraged to express the campaign’s values through art, poetry, songs, and storytelling. These cultural elements enrich the campaign’s impact and bring people together.
  

21 March 2025: A Minute for Hope

• Time: 12:00 PM local time

• Purpose: A global moment to pause, reflect, and take action for hope.

  
  

  For Individuals:

  1. Call a friend or loved one:

     • Thank them, encourage them, or share something hopeful.

     • Invite them to join the Minute for Hope campaign.

  2. Perform a small act of kindness:

     • Offer help, show support, or brighten someone’s day.

  3. Share your moment online:

     • Use the hashtags #MinuteForHope and your local language version (e.g., #MinutoporlaEsperanza).

     • Example: “Today at 12 noon, I called my friend to thank them. Every minute of hope counts! #MinuteForHope #MinutoporlaEsperanza”
       

  For Tree Planters For Hope:

  
  

  1. Share your images or videos of planted trees of hope, love and justice on Instagram wiht hashtags #MinuteForHope and your local hashtag.
     

  For those who do not plant trees

  1. Create a visible symbol together:

     • Form a heart, peace sign, or other symbol as a group and capture it in a photo or video.

     • Share it online with #MinuteForHope and your local hashtag.
       

  2. Make a meaningful donation:

     • Use the moment to give to a local charity or support a cause aligned with the values of hope, love, or justice.
       

  3. Announce a future initiative:

     • Use the minute to share a project or decision that embodies these values and inspires others to join.

• Mark your calendars for 21 March 2025, at 12:00 PM local time. Together, let’s create a world where hope grows through action.

Global Day of Campaign

The campaign will culminate on the International Day of Forests, 21 March 2025, when communities worldwide will celebrate their collective efforts. Participants are encouraged to start planting and sharing their stories before this date to inspire others and build momentum.
